Crosslybot feature

Word and emoji replacement for cross-posting

One post — different wording for different platforms. Set “find → replace with” pairs, and the bot adjusts the text for this target on every publication.

What fits a Telegram channel doesn’t always fit a VK community or a Max channel: a “channel” becomes a “community”, familiar emoji look different, and some words are just out of place. Crosslybot’s word replacement adjusts the text for every platform automatically — the original post stays the same.

The rules are simple: one word or symbol — one replacement. Words are replaced only as whole words and case-sensitively, emoji and symbols — anywhere in the text. For deeper rewriting there is AI processing: translation, restyling and shortening.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the target settings

In the project, pick a target and find the Word and symbol replacement section.

  2. 2

    Set a pair

On the left — what to find: one word or symbol, no spaces. On the right — what to replace it with. Leave the right side empty to simply remove the word or emoji.

  3. 3

    Add the rules you need

Up to 10 replacements per target. Rules are applied one by one, from top to bottom.

  4. 4

    Post as usual

Replacements fire in every post for this target. The post in the source channel stays unchanged.

What you get

Whole word only

The rule “cat” → “kitty” won’t touch “scatter” or “cats”: only the standalone word is replaced. Bold, italics and links around the word don’t get in the way.

Case-sensitive

“Channel” and “channel” are different rules. Fix a word at the start of a sentence without touching it in the middle — or the other way round.

Emoji and symbols

Emoji and symbols are replaced anywhere in the text — even right next to words: 🔥 → ⚡, № → #.

Premium emoji

In VK, Max, OK and Telegram channels, a Premium emoji is shown as its regular fallback emoji. A rule can put a fitting symbol in its place or remove it.

Different rules per platform

For VK — “channel” → “community”, for Max — no replacements. Rules are set in each target’s settings separately.

Before AI processing

Replacement runs before translation and restyling: the AI gets the already corrected text. A footer trimmed by marker is removed even earlier.

FAQ

Can I replace a phrase of several words?

No, the Find field takes one word or symbol without spaces. To change several words, add a rule for each.

Are word forms taken into account?

No, the word is matched exactly and as a whole: a rule for “channel” won’t replace “channels”. Each form needs its own rule.

How do I remove a word or emoji from posts?

Add a rule and leave the Replace with field empty — the matched word or symbol is simply removed from the text for this target.

How do I replace a Premium emoji?

Every Premium emoji in Telegram has a regular emoji behind it — that is what VK, Max, OK and Telegram channels display. Put this emoji in the Find field and the symbol you want in Replace with.

How many rules can I add?

Up to 10 replacements per target. Different targets of one project have their own sets of rules.

Does the post in the source channel change?

No. Replacements apply only to the copy of the post that goes to this target.

How is this different from the link filter?

Replacement works with the post text — words and symbols. Link addresses are easier to change with the link filter: it also finds links hidden behind text.
