Smart delay in Crosslybot is more than a pause before publishing. It is an extra layer of control: if you edit a post in the source before it goes live, all targets receive the updated version.
Set a delay from 1 minute to 7 days — for the whole project or for each target separately. Edit text, change media — Crosslybot picks up the changes automatically. For Max sources, deletion tracking also works: delete the post — publishing is cancelled.
The delay works together with AI processing, filters and signatures. When a post is edited, AI processing re-runs on the updated text.
How it works

Set the delay
In the target settings, enter the waiting time in minutes or pick a preset: 5, 15, 30 minutes or 1 hour. A delay can also be set for the whole project.

Post in the source
A new post joins the queue of every target and waits for its time. The queue is visible in the Operations section.

Edit while it waits
Changed the text, media or buttons in the source? The bot updates the queued post, and AI processing re-runs on the new text.

The post goes out on time
When the time is up, the post is published to the target in its latest form. Changed your mind? Cancel it in Operations.
What you get
Deletion cancels publishing
If the source is Max and you delete the post before publishing, cross-posting of that post is cancelled by itself. Telegram does not notify bots about deletions in channels — cancel the post in Operations there.
Flexible range
From 1 minute to 7 days. The delay can be set separately for each target: for example, VK — after 5 minutes, Max — after 2 hours.
Cancel from Operations
While a post waits, it is shown on the Queue tab of the Operations section — you can cancel it there if you change your mind.
FAQ
How does edit tracking work?
If you edit a post in the source channel while it is waiting to be published, Crosslybot updates the text, media and buttons. AI processing re-runs on the updated text if needed. After publishing, edits are no longer carried over.
Does deletion tracking work for Telegram?
Telegram does not notify bots when posts are deleted in channels. If you delete a post in a Telegram source, cancel the publication manually in the Operations section. For Max, deletion is tracked automatically.
What is the maximum delay?
Up to 7 days (10,080 minutes). The minimum is 1 minute; 0 means publish right away.
Can I cancel publishing during the delay?
Yes, while the post is waiting you can cancel it in the project’s Operations section. After cancelling, it will not be published.
Does the delay work with AI processing?
Yes. When a post is edited, the AI result is reset and processing runs again on the updated text.
How is a delay different from a temporary pause?
A delay postpones every post by the set time. A temporary pause stops the whole project or one target for a while: posts accumulate and go out after the pause ends.
