What it solves

Webhook OUT: a content database in Notion

Every publication — a record in your Notion database.

Webhook

The problem

The team works in Notion: content plan, material base, retros. But actual publications don't end up in Notion — you have to record what went out by hand. The base lags, there's no analytics.

How Crosslybot solves it

Crosslybot's outgoing webhook sends an event about every publication to a Notion database. Via a simple scenario the record is created automatically — with text, platform, link and date.

Crosslybot can automatically keep a content database in Notion via an outgoing webhook. After every publication the service sends an event — with the text, platform, link and metadata.

Via a scenario in n8n, Make or Zapier the event turns into a new Notion database record. The database is always current and matches the actual publications. The team works in their usual Notion, while content data flows in on its own.

How to set up

1

Create a Notion database

In Notion, create a Database with the fields you need: text, platform, link, date, tags.

2

Stand up a receiver

In n8n, Make or Zapier, set up a scenario: webhook → Notion API.

3

Set up Webhook OUT

In the Crosslybot dashboard, specify the scenario URL and enable the outgoing webhook.

4

Done

Every publication is automatically added to the Notion database.

What's inside

Notion as a content catalog

The database keeps the full publication history with no manual entry — always up to date.

Metadata and tags

trace_id, platform and date let you link publications to other Notion pages.

The team works where it's used to

Notion stays the team's hub, and content data flows in automatically.

Result

The Notion database keeps itself and is always current. The team sees actual publications next to plans and retros.

FAQ

Do I need a developer?

No. The Webhook OUT → Notion link is built visually in n8n, Make or Zapier — they have ready Notion nodes.

What comes in the event?

The post text, the platform, a link, the date, metadata and a trace_id.

Can existing records be updated?

Depends on the scenario. By default each event creates a new record; for updates, match by trace_id.

What plan is needed?

Webhook OUT is available on the Pro plan and above.
