Channel migration and post history import
Moving to a new platform — take your channel's history with you.
The problem
When you launch a channel on a new platform it looks empty: not a single post, zero trust from new subscribers. Moving hundreds of old posts by hand is weeks of copying text and re-uploading media.
How Crosslybot solves it
Crosslybot imports the channel's history to the new platform: up to 1000 posts from Telegram and up to 500 from Max. Posts transfer in chronological order, with media and formatting — the new channel looks alive right away.
Crosslybot moves a channel’s history when you migrate to a new platform. The new channel doesn’t have to look empty: the import will move up to 1000 posts from Telegram and up to 500 from Max — in chronological order, with media and formatting.
Albums are reassembled, deduplication prevents duplicates, and the import itself is resilient to restarts. Subscribers on the new platform see a live channel with history right away, not an empty feed.
How to set up
Connect the platforms
In @Crosslybot, connect the source channel and the new target platform.
Open Post Transfer
In the project, choose the post transfer tab and specify the history source.
Set the volume
For Max — choose a count (up to 500). For Telegram — paste links to the first and last post of the range (up to 1000).
Run the import
Crosslybot transfers the posts one by one, in chronological order, with deduplication.
What's inside
Up to 1000 posts
Import from Telegram — up to 1000 posts by range, from Max — up to 500 per run. The history transfers in full.
Order and media
Posts transfer oldest to newest, with photos, videos, albums and formatting. Albums are reassembled.
No duplicates
Deduplication won't let one post transfer twice. The import can be resumed if it was interrupted.
Result
The new channel starts with a ready history instead of an empty feed. Subscriber trust doesn't need to be built from scratch.
FAQ
Where can I import from and to?
The history source is a Telegram channel or a Max channel. The target is any connected platform of the project: Telegram, VK or Max.
What if the import is interrupted?
The import is resilient to restarts: for Telegram it continues from a checkpoint, for Max deduplication skips already transferred posts.
Does the import use the post limit?
Yes, imported posts count toward the monthly limit. The formula accounts for purchased post packs.
Do signatures and filters transfer?
The import transfers the content itself. Signatures, ad filters and forward percent don't apply to imported posts.
